After a brief hiatus on Goldfat Records, drum & bass connoisseur Mitekiss is once again releasing sonic artwork via his imprint.
First you're introduced to ‘Spencer'. Beautifully intricate, it's pitch perfect with humanistic vocal samples floating between the mix, generating the track's atmosphere. Its stubborn bassline and omnipresent drum loops ensure it remains driving throughout, whilst cotton soft pads smooth over any rough edges.
‘Jamoon' switches the gear slightly, cleverly spinning amongst distorted bass and clinking percussion. Relatively harder, yet still pushing that light overture, it's another endorphin pleaser, conjuring dream like images. However, the wobbling subs remind you of its darker forces, whilst waves of snapping hi-hat still alleviate the tone. From the rich textures to its harp-like strings, it stands as a faultless balance between two different hues.
